Actually, installing and running this version is a good educational look both at how much UU has progressed over the years, and just how far ahead of its time it really was.

We are looking for the most recent versions of any and all UU utilities and tools. If you have redistributable shareware versions of tools that are not here or are more recent than the versions provided, please contact ultimate@ultimate-universe.com with details (file attachments under 100K welcome). If you are the author of such a utility, and would like to donate the full commercial/registered version to the world at large (as Garth has done for UU with the Universal Key), contact the same address. We are especially interested in locating the author of UUTerm and a non-beta version of this client's distribution archive.

All versions of TopherSoft Engineering products for the 2.04 DOS release are being converted to FREEWARE. If you have registered versions of any TSE products which are not represented here, please submit them for posting in the archives so other UU players can benefit from them.

We are also looking for wish lists, suggestions, and any bug reports related to the DOS version so we can make our design decisions and migrate these into the new development as soon as possible.
